The following are the latest COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Arkansas Department of Health. If you or someone in your household has tested positive for or been exposed to COVID-19, please follow these guidelines.
- If you test positive for COVID-19, stay home for at least 5 days, and isolate from others in your home. You are likely most infectious during these first 5 days.
- If you tested positive but had no symptoms, you can end isolation after 5 days. You should wear a mask indoors for 5 additional days.
- If you tested positive and did have symptoms you can end isolation after day 5 IF: You are fever free for 24 hrs. (without the use of fever-reducing meds). Again, you should wear a mask indoors for 5 additional days.
You may discontinue wearing a mask between day 5 and day 10 if you have two sequential negative antigen tests 48 hours apart.
If you were exposed to someone with Covid, you do not have to isolate yourself unless you become symptomatic/test positive.
You must, however, wear a mask as soon as you find out you have been exposed. You can still develop COVID-19 up to 10 days after you have been exposed. Continue to wear a mask indoors for the remainder of the 10-day period.
Just FYI: Day 0- the day you test positive or your last known exposure to a positive case. For Isolation and exposure purposes, day 1 is the day after a positive test or known exposure.
